Overview of Licang District 

Licang District is located in the central city of Qingdao, with an area of 99.1 square kilometers and a permanent population of 761,400. It is positioned to build a demonstration zone for the conversion of new and old kinetic energy in Qingdao. On June 12, 2018, after presiding over the Shanghai Cooperation Qingdao Summit, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the Shangliu Jiayuan Community in Licang District, where he made important directives such as 'the city belongs to the people,' inspiring cadres and masses in the region to start their own businesses.

At present, the entire region is building a "3+2+4" modern industrial system: developing digital economy, headquarters economy, hub economy; enhancing commercial services, modern finance; and strengthening the new generation of information technology industry, new energy and new materials industry, biomedical industry, and intelligent manufacturing industry.

Licang boasts Qingdao North Station, a first-class hub of the National Railway Network, and Jiaozhou Bay Sea-Crossing Bridge. There are seven urban subways, including Metro Lines 1, 2, 3, 8, and 11 (opened), as well as Lines 7 and 15 (under construction). Among them, Line 8 provides direct access to Jiaodong International Airport, allowing you to get to other places in one hour and anywhere in the district in 30 minutes.

The 15 key industrial parks of nearly 5 million square meters built in the eastern part of Licang District, are positioned as the headquarters new area; the 9,000mu(600hectares) of land resources, vacated by the old industrial base in the western area of Licang District, are positioned as the new industrial city. It negotiates with Vanyang Group, combining the construction ideas of the Sino Russian Industrial Park in the SCO Demonstration Zone, to build a professional industrial park led by new energy, new materials, and equipment manufacturing with upstream and downstream enterprises gathering.
