Qingdao Marathon Consumption Week Campaign To Showcase Race, Cuisine, Culture, Shopping, Tourism, and Exhibitions

The third press conference for the Haier 2025 Qingdao Marathon, along with the sponsor plaque presentation ceremony, was held on April 14. Deputy Mayor of Qingdao Zhao Shengcun attended the event.
Preparations for the event are progressing smoothly with the organizing committee making meticulous arrangements across race operations, medical support, volunteer coordination, and overall logistics to ensure a high-quality marathon experience. In partnership with the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade of Qingdao (CCPIT Qingdao), the committee has launched the "Qingdao Marathon Consumption Week" campaign, spanning six sectors: the marathon race, dining, sightseeing, shopping, tourism, and exhibitions. As part of the campaign, 18 scenic attractions—including the Laoshan Scenic Area—will offer free or discounted entry to marathon participants who present their race bibs as admission passes. Fifty-two hotels, such as the Shangri-La, will provide discounts on lodging and dining, while nearly 10 major commercial complexes, including MixC, will roll out consumer promotions to encourage spending.
The Haier • 2025 Qingdao Marathon Expo will also be held from April 17 to 19 at the Qingdao International Convention Center (QICC).
